Lead Time

All Photonic Studio Lighting is custom made-to-order just for you. Current lead time is 8 weeks from order to shipment. This is a one-man shop, so in certain circumstances lead time can increase. You will receive notification via email of any adjustment in the estimated ship date. If you have a specific target date for shipment or need an order rushed, please contact us before purchasing.

Shipping

Domestic orders are shipped via USPS or UPS Ground. International orders are welcome, and ship via USPS Priority Mail in most cases. All orders totaling $250 or more require signature on delivery. Please confirm that your shipping address is current and correct before completing your order. If a package is returned, additional postage will be due in order to re-ship. All fees/duties/taxes on international orders are the sole responsibility of the recipient and are not included in the shipping cost.

Please inspect your order for damage immediately upon receipt. We pack with extreme care, but in the rare case of a damaged shipment it is necessary to keep all boxes and packaging, and to contact us immediately so that we can file a claim with the carrier.

Returns & Cancellations

All Photonic Studio lighting is custom made to-order, and is therefore final sale. We do not accept returns or cancellations, but are happy to answer any and all questions you might have before purchasing.

Our lighting is guaranteed to work as designed upon delivery. If you have any issues with the function of your lights, please contact us to arrange inspection and repair. Repairs necessitated by mishandling, improper installation or improper use will be charged at a fair rate. In such a case we will contact you for approval and payment prior to moving forward with the repair.

Installation

Photonic Studio lighting is assembled with great care and attention to detail, and incorporates UL approved components wherever possible. However (like most handmade lighting) the fixtures are not UL listed as a whole, so it is the responsibility of the purchaser to check with their contractor or local electrical inspector for approval before use.

We recommend installation by licensed professionals. Our fixtures all have living finishes (raw metal, or metal finished with microcrystalline wax) which require careful handling when unpacking and installing. It is very important to wear clean, disposable gloves to preserve the finish and allow the fixtures to patina evenly.

Hardwired fixtures use standard 2.75" horizontal screw spacing and include mount screws. Any additional hardware needed for specific applications is not included. If you have questions or concerns about installation please contact us prior to purchase.

Sockets and Bulbs

Photonic Studio fixtures use standard E26 or E12 (candelabra) sockets by default. E27 or GU24 sockets may be available for some models - please contact us prior to purchase if you require those configurations. All fixtures are for use in dry locations only (unless damp-rated sockets are specifically ordered.)

Do not use light bulbs rated over 60 watts in any of our lights. Some models are limited to 25 or 40 watts and are noted accordingly on the product page. LED bulbs are recommended as they produce much less heat.

Liability

By purchasing our product, you agree that in the event of damage to person or property related to use of the product, maximum liability is limited to the purchase price of the product only.
